Every venue bolts a list of conditions to the wall and trusts that nobody stops walking. Here is ours, at a size you can read while moving.

Seven things worth knowing before the doors open, none of which appear on the poster.
A compatible HomeBase is required, and it is not included. This is an add-on camera. It operates with HomeBase 3 (S380) or HomeBase Professional S1 (T9000); HomeBase 2 will not substitute. This is the single most common reason an add-on camera is returned, which is why it is repeated on this page.
The outer carton is missing; the standard functional boxed contents and papers are present. New No Box here is kit-split stock: the camera is new and unused, carved out of a multi-camera kit rather than a single add-on carton, and it ships with the complete standard functional boxed contents and papers in protective packaging — only the retail carton is missing. It has not been refurbished or restored.
It records events, not everything. There is no continuous 24/7 mode on this camera, and adding the hub does not create one. It captures clips when something triggers it.
It records. It does not prevent. A camera documents what happens in its field of view. The siren and spotlight are deterrents, not barriers, and we will never tell you otherwise.
There is no Apple HomeKit on this model. Alexa and Google Assistant are supported. If your house runs on HomeKit, check that this fits before you buy rather than after.
Solar is a top up, not a miracle. eufy rates the integrated panel at roughly two hours of daily sun to sustain normal use. Deep shade, a poor angle, a dark winter or a very busy driveway all change that maths.
Charge it before you climb anything. Give it a proper first charge and pair it to the hub while you are still standing on the floor. Everyone who skips this learns it on a ladder.

Do I really need a compatible HomeBase, or is that optional?
Yes, a compatible base is essential. This add-on camera has no standalone mode and records, stores and streams through HomeBase 3 or HomeBase Professional S1, sold separately. Confirm the selected base and current firmware before ordering.
Will it work with my HomeBase 2?
No. The eufyCam 3 does not pair with HomeBase 2. Its supported routes are HomeBase 3 (S380) and HomeBase Professional S1 (T9000), subject to current firmware and feature support. If HomeBase 2 is what you own, this camera is not compatible with your setup and we would rather tell you now than process a return.
What does New No Box actually mean here?
It means the camera is new and has never been used, but it came out of a multi-camera kit rather than its own retail carton. So there is no outer box — but the printed guide and the rest of the boxed-version accessory set are all there, packed in plain protective packaging. It is not refurbished, restored or renewed, and we do not describe it in those terms. If you specifically want the sealed retail box, choose a Brand New listing instead of this one.
Does it record continuously, day and night?
No. This is an event based camera: it captures clips when something triggers detection, rather than running a continuous stream. Adding the HomeBase 3 gives you storage and smarter processing, but it does not create a 24/7 recording mode. If uninterrupted footage is a hard requirement, a permanently powered system built for continuous capture is the honest answer.
How good is it after dark?
It combines starlight colour night vision with infrared, and adds a motion activated spotlight for when there is nothing to work with. The f/1.4 aperture is the part that matters most: it is what lets a 4K sensor still resolve detail in low light. What you can actually make out still depends on distance, placement, weather and how quickly something is moving.
How quickly does CamGuard Australia dispatch it?
