Standalone on 2.4GHz
The E30 can operate directly over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi in the eufy Security app. No HomeBase is required to start and no mandatory subscription is required for recording or detection.
HomeBase 3 optional
The HomeBase 3 (S380) is optional — and per eufy's current compatibility guide the E30 also pairs with HomeBase 2, HomeBase Professional S1 and HomeBase Mini (firmware updates may be required); added features depend on the base and its firmware.
5GHz-only network
The camera needs 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A network offering only 5GHz cannot complete setup.
Outdoor housing is rated IP65. Install and seal it correctly; weather resistance does not replace sensible placement.
