Has the Open Box camera been used?
No. The box was opened and repacked; the camera hasn’t been used or installed. It comes in its original carton with every accessory listed above.
Do I need a HomeBase or a subscription?
No to both. It records events to its own 8 GB over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with no monthly fee for local storage. HomeBase 3, Mini or Professional S1 are optional; HomeBase 2 won’t run it.
How much sun does it need?
eufy recommends at least two hours of direct sun a day. A shaded spot still works, but you’ll charge it by USB-C more often.
Does it record all day?
No. It records motion events only, with no 24/7 recording and no pre-buffer. When the 8 GB fills, the oldest clips are overwritten.
When will my order leave Townsville?

Do I need a HomeBase?
No for core standalone operation. For optional hubs, eufy's compatibility guide lists HomeBase 3 (S380), HomeBase Mini and HomeBase Professional S1, and excludes HomeBase 2.
Is every moment recorded?
No. This is a battery/solar motion-event camera. It records triggered clips rather than continuous 24/7 footage.
Will the panel eliminate manual charging?
Not as a fixed promise. eufy suggests around two hours of direct sun daily for typical use. Shade, season, angle, events, settings and Wi-Fi all affect the result.
Can human detection identify everyone?
No. It assists with focusing events on people. Placement and scene conditions matter, and it cannot guarantee detection, identity or complete capture.
What warranty applies?
